Our history in Walthamstow

There has been a meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Walthamstow for over 100 years. At the start of the 20th century the Quakers ran an adult education centre. We moved to our present Meeting House in 1998. The building was originally a Victorian printworks and we converted it for our needs in the 1990s. We now have a roomy Meeting House in the centre of Walthamstow that we hire out to a wide range of groups during the week. We are a friendly meeting and welcome all visitors and enquirers.

Quaker Quest Discussion Group meets alternative Tuesdays — 7.00 for coffee and cakes, start at 7.30pm. Dates are FEB 9th, 23rd; MARCH 9th, 23rd; APRIL 8th, 26th and MAY 4th.

Discussions will be based on new Study Pack “Becoming Friends”

All are welcome, attenders, enquirers and experienced Friends.

All bookings to the Meeting House, on 020 8521-2363 (please leave a message) or walthamstow.quakers@googlemail.com
