Being Quaker

A course for anyone who wants to learn about Quakers

Have you been attending for a while or would like to know more about Quakers?

Being Quaker is a short course for anyone curious about what it means to be a Quaker.

The course meets in small groups for four evening sessions, held about two weeks apart. Together, we explore:

  • Quaker worship
  • Quaker past and future
  • Quaker process
  • Quaker living

Being Quaker offers a welcoming space to learn, reflect, and share, alongside experienced Friends and others at a similar stage in their journey.

The course is helpful if you are considering membership, but it is equally valuable if you are simply curious and would like to deepen your understanding of Quaker faith and practice.

Details of upcoming courses are listed below. The course is free; to book or to find out more please email beingquaker@londonquakers.org.uk

If you are a local meeting and are interested in hosting a Being Quaker course, do get in touch.

We also hope to organise another one-day course at Westminster MH with child care support.
